Norfolk Harborfest Returns for Its 50th Anniversary

From June 19–21, Downtown Norfolk welcomes a fleet of over 60 international and U.S. tall ships to celebrate VA250. “Harborfest celebrates the rich maritime and naval heritage that defines Norfolk and the Hampton Roads region,” says Jordan Lett, marketing director of Norfolk Festevents. “With something happening throughout the waterfront each day, Harborfest offers an immersive experience for visitors of all ages.” Bring the whole family for boardwalk arcade fun, military exhibits and demonstrations, head-banging live music from national and regional acts, and thrilling fireworks displays to end the day. Peruse the Harborfest beer garden, and graze all day on mouth-watering artisan foods and thirst-quenching, ice-cold drinks, and frozen treats. “Ultimately, Harborfest showcases the region’s dynamic waterfront and reinforces Norfolk’s reputation as a premier destination for arts, culture, live music, and large-scale public events,” Lett says.
