Romance struck these childhood best friends, whose love story inspired a fairytale wedding. A Tudor-style mansion, twinkling lights, and lush greenery set the stage.
The wedding came together with the help of their loved ones: “It takes a village,” the couple says. The bride’s mom worked tirelessly to make their day perfect, with the help of Stoneleigh Estate’s Julie Wells. The dads also teamed up to prepare the ceremony space, after a week of hard work of the families DIY-ing the seating charts, mirrors, and design elements.
“We’ve spent every moment we could with one another, and now we cannot wait to share an entire lifetime!” Lily Pendola and Alexander Patterson say. The couple reminds others: after a point, don’t focus on the details, because in the moment, nothing else matters but your other half.

First intro?
They said: We met when we were 14 and 15 in a theater company we attended. While it was love at first sight for Lily, it took Alex a few years to process his feelings for his “just friend.”
Personal touch?
They said: The pressed flowers in our seating chart were all from bouquets Alex gave Lily during our 3.5 years of dating.
One moment that captures your connection as a couple?
They said: Our first kiss as husband and wife wouldn’t have been complete without our interlocking “I love you” in sign language handshake.
Music?
They said: DJ Ryan and a dear friend, Miles, who played the original song Alex wrote for Lily to walk down the aisle, were the perfect additions to our wedding day!
First dance song?
They said: We chose “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle for our first dance. This song was something we danced to for years after long nights and long distance. How lucky are we to get to love one another?
