Founder Savannah Wichman spent much of her childhood on her grandmother’s farm in the mountains of West Virginia, where creativity was woven into everyday life. Her grandmother, an avid gardener, painter, and enthusiastic flower show participant, taught her to see beauty in small details and to mix intention with a little wildness. Days spent wandering the property, gathering blooms, and experimenting with color and texture quietly shaped Savannah’s eye for floral design and her belief that beauty should feel natural, personal, and joyful.
Professionally, Savannah built a foundation in high-end country club and event management, working within luxury environments where precision, timing, and guest experience mattered deeply. Surrounded by talented floral designers and event professionals, she gained firsthand insight into the artistry and logistics behind extravagant celebrations. That background now informs every aspect of Mountain Mama Florals.
Today, based near Washington, D.C., Mountain Mama Florals serves couples throughout Virginia, Maryland, and the surrounding region. The studio is known for romantic, garden-inspired wedding florals that feel organic, elevated, and deeply personal. Savannah works closely with each couple to create designs that reflect their story, offering both full-service floral design and micro wedding packages to accommodate celebrations of all sizes.
