Meredith Bundy & Chase Huffman

May 10, 2014 • Bonderosa Farm, Cape Charles

The elegance and romance of Paris infused a centuries-old farm on Virginia’s Eastern Shore for the wedding of Meredith Bundy and Chase Huffman last May. The couple, whose story covers years of moving in and out of each other’s busy orbits before finding each other irresistible a full five years after meeting in college, wanted their wedding to be as unique as their relationship. And while Meredith had long dreamed of getting married at her parents’ home, Bonderosa Farm in Cape Charles, she wanted to pay homage to the City of Lights, where Chase had proposed. “Why not bring France home?” says Meredith. Chandeliers suspended underneath three arbors—one for their outdoor ceremony and two under the reception tent—lent a soft, magical ambiance. Draped pearls, sparkling stones and lights strung from trees to mimic the tent’s chandeliers added to the romantic atmosphere, which was further enhanced by silver candelabra centerpieces topped by arrangements of celebration roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus and peonies. “I wanted to transform the farm setting to a French-country setting,” says Meredith. “I like large, visually stimulating arrangements and designs, and I wanted our guests … to never want to leave!”
