This Louisa County winery just keeps celebrating

By Laura Drummond

Everleigh Vineyards & Brewing Company opened its doors in 2021, and it’s been celebrating ever since. This family-owned boutique winery joins a growing collection of craft beverage makers in Louisa County. It’s one stop along the Fermentation Farm Trail, an agriculture-focused beverage trail that includes six area breweries, cideries, and wineries growing their own ingredients on site, all located within 50 miles of each other.

Everleigh grows chardonel, merlot, petit verdot, and cabernet franc on the property. Julien Durantie of DuCard Vineyards in Madison produces their wine. In addition, their brewing facility provides beer and cider, with mainstays and seasonal rotations. Owners Barbara and Joe Evers planted their first vines in 2015 and remain committed to producing the highest quality craft beverages right on the property.

The dramatic, two-story tasting room is the perfect spot to savor Everleigh’s delicious fare, which includes artfully crafted charcuterie boards. The property hosts a number of events—from weddings to concerts. And tastings anchor most weekends, where food trucks serve up delicious noshables and live music enhances the experience.
