New Experiences at Tysons Corner Center

Joining the crowd of retail malls diversifying to attract a broader range of visitors, Tysons Corner Center has undergone a makeover. One of the largest malls in the country and just minutes from the nation’s capital, Tysons has reimagined its space with a $100 million redevelopment project focusing on “experience-driven entertainment,” according to real estate investment trust, Macerich.

Several entertainment-based businesses looking to complement Tysons’ shopping and dining components are opening their first Virginia locations in the mall. Hershey Super Sweet Adventure offers guests an opportunity to “connect with their inner child” through interactive activities, according to Caitlin Maloney, vice president of creative for Original X Productions. The family-friendly experience includes games and play around Hershey candy themes. “We’re really excited to be bringing this experience for its East Coast debut to Virginia and specifically to Tysons Corner.” Maloney says.

The Escape Game offers themed escape rooms where anyone—kids through grandparents—can have fun together, says Jonathan Murrell, co-founder of The Escape Game.

Level 99 is “not your typical night out,” with over 50 interactive mini-games intended for an adult audience, according to Rachel Scheinfeld, vice president of marketing at Level 99. “We love being a part of helping bring energy back to any space and providing opportunities for people to experience new things at Tysons Corner,” says Scheinfeld.
