Enjoy peace and afternoon tea at Peace Hill Farm

Everyone’s summer bucket list should include afternoon tea at Peace Hill Farm. Set along the banks of the Chickahominy River in Charles City County, the property’s beautiful backdrop is perfect for relaxing inside or out and filling up with all sorts of delectables—and of course, tea.

But don’t stop there. Make it a weekend, and stay in one of four suites, including an ultra-private henhouse-turned-cabin. Commune with the farm’s Angora goats, Mangelista pigs, draft horses, chickens, and ducks. Shop at the farm store for fresh eggs and veggies, flowers, and wool from Leicester Longwool sheep, and learn about owner Susan Wise Bauer’s regenerative agriculture initiative. The property has been farmed for centuries, and her aim is now to replenish the soil through crop rotation, mixed grazing, cover crops, and pollinating wildflower combinations.
