FREDERICKSBURG: Fredericksburg Convention Center
Over 500 animal lovers gathered at the 9th Annual Fur Ball Gala for the Fredericksburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Fred SPCA) on Aug. 24. Held at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, attendees reveled in “glitz, glam, and goodwill” as they raised over $200,000 and enjoyed the event’s Old Vegas theme, with casino games, an Elvis impersonator, and signature cocktails.
“The Fred SPCA Fur Ball Gala is our region’s biggest night of philanthropy for the animals,” says Von Young, the organization’s director of communications and marketing. “The money raised during the gala helps us advance our mission and secure a better future for animals in need, as well as develop programs to assist pet owners by providing access to care and resources.”
