Wedding Planner/Coordinator

- What services do you offer, and what’s the scope?
- How many weddings have you planned?
- Have you worked at our venue before?
- How do you handle curveballs during an event?
- How many staff will you have at our wedding?
- Can you create a timeline for everyone involved?
- What’s the average wedding budget you work with? Can you work within ours?
- Do you have unique ideas for personalizing our wedding?
- Are you insured (personal liability and professional indemnity)?
Venue
- What exactly does your fee cover, and what additional fees should we expect?
- Do we need valet parking?
- Are there extra charges, like taxes, gratuity, or service fees?
- What’s your inclement weather plan?
- Is there a curfew or noise ordinance?
- Can we provide our own alcohol? What about licenses?
- Are the restrooms accessible for older guests?
- Do you provide linens, and what options are available?
Florist
- How would you describe your aesthetic?
- Can we see images of florals you’ve designed for other weddings?
- Where do you source your flowers?
- How many events do you take on in one day?
- How can you help us reflect our style as a couple through flowers?
- Do you have decor suggestions to complement the florals?
- What happens if a particular flower isn’t available as the wedding date approaches?

Caterer/Cake Artist

- Do you have a food license?

- Tell us about your staff and servers (e.g., uniforms, server-to-guest ratio).

Photographer

Hair Stylists/Makeup Artists

Once you’ve interviewed your vendors, it’s okay to pass on those who don’t fit your vision. Just be sure to inform them politely and promptly, especially if they’ve reserved your date.
