Hello World, meet Richmond. Richmond, meet Cycling.

Sept. 19-27 the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Road World Championships will bring 1,000 of the world’s best cyclists from 75 countries (not to mention nearly half a million fans) to Richmond, where they will battle for the title of world champion. Cycling’s pinnacle event, the Worlds are held annually in a different international city, and this year’s event will be the first on U.S. soil since Colorado Springs hosted in 1986.
