Classic burlesque began making a comeback in the 1990s, but it has really taken off in the last eight or nine years says Richmond-based performer Deanna Danger, founder of Boom Boom Basics Burlesque and Performing Arts Studio. This is not the bump and grind of a traditional strip show, but rather a return to slow and sexy story-telling that invites audiences to use their, er, imaginations. Ready to check out a show?
