Chestnut Creek School of the Arts Enlivens Southwest Virginia

How does a manufacturing town move forward when most of its plants have closed? For Galax, the answer is economic diversification—and Chestnut Creek School of the Arts is a crucial part of that plan. “When most businesses closed or moved overseas, the city formed CCSA as a vehicle to stimulate growth in the economy,” says Director Chris Collins.
