VCCA—Annual Gala

AMHERST: Artists’ Residence/Mt. San Angelo

Lively music and fragrant flowers filled the air as the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) hosted its annual gala on June 15. The Studio Barn on the campus of the VCCA’s Mt. San Angelo artists’ residence was transformed into a Havana Nights–themed event that featured a Latin soundtrack and cocktails, dinner, and dessert. Fundraising goals were exceeded, with proceeds benefiting the organization’s Annual Fund. The VCCA is one of the leading artistic communities in the world.

“Our annual gala is a celebration of the creative spirit, nourishing food, and natural surroundings that make VCCA’s artist residency program in central Virginia so special. It’s a fantastic opportunity for sponsors, donors, and friends to experience a bit of the magic this inspiring hilltop offers to more than 400 writers, visual artists, and composers each year,” says Kevin O’Halloran, VCCA executive director. “We’re grateful to everyone who gathered together in support of VCCA.”
