A Toast to Love: Selecting Signature Drinks for Your Wedding

Beyond floral centerpieces and that all-important first dance song, there’s another crowd-pleasing way to make yours and your partner’s personality shine in a sippable fashion: offer a signature drink designed by a pro.

According to Chris Webster, owner of The Easy Pour Mobile Bar in Fairfax, a specialty cocktail or mocktail is more personalizable than one might think. All you have to do is take cues from your love story. Consider your first date, places you’ve traveled, or funny quirk—these can all generate inspiration to serve up to your guests. If you love the classics, consider customizing one by enhancing its color, adding a flavor, or finishing it with a unique garnish.

“We’ve found that even some standard drinks with just an added flavor turn the drink into a different experience,” says Webster.

A love story plus a splash of liquor equals a lasting tasteful impression. “At the end of the day, that’s what we want to be serving—drinks that people will remember,” Webster says.
