Joanna Ila Hassell and Jared Paul Green of Charlotte, North Carolina, were married July 14, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Richmond. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Linda Hassell of Richmond and the late Leroy Hassell Sr., first African-American Chief Justice of the Virginia Supreme Court. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Green of Ashburn.
