Luxe lodging for all at the Inn at Willow Grove.

Room service and a sweet waiting on your pillow each night are a couple of the small pleasures of traveling. Why should humans be the only ones to enjoy such things? At least that’s what Dave and Charlene Scibal, owners of the Inn at Willow Grove, think.

Set on 40 acres near Sperryville, the inn provides luxury pet accommodations for your faithful canine companion in the deluxe suites of its Overlook Cottage.

Upon making a reservation at the inn, the butler staff will collect information about your dog’s allergies, medical history and diet. On arrival, a welcome basket with your pet’s preferred brand of kibble will be waiting in your room, which will include a hypoallergenic dog bed (that matches the décor, of course).

At dinnertime, your dog can join you for al fresco dining at the inn’s Vintage Restaurant, where Executive Chef Jason Daniels will prepare special dishes for both you and your dog.

Evening turndown service with an organic dog treat is also included with your reservation. “Each night, our chef creates a sweet treat with hot tea for our guests, and he will also prepare a different sweet treat for your dog,” explains Charlene.

The Scibal’s have four Irish wolfhounds, and they, like “so many people,” says daughter-in-law Hope Scibal, the inn’s marketing director, “think of their pets as family.” InnAtWillowGrove.com

The inn has no breed or size restrictions, although there is a maximum of two dogs per suite. Rates start at $65 per pet, per day.
