How to outsmart closet overflow

What on earth can you do when your closet starts to overflow? Apparently a lot, according to Ana Djevenica, Interior Designer at Total Home Design & Remodeling in Springfield.

Add an extra clothing rod: Doubling up clothing rods is a simple way to make the most of vertical closet space.

Add more drawers and sliding shelves: “Add some drawers or baskets for items like belts, scarves, hats, socks, et cetera,” Djevenica says. “We can also add a few display shelves for items like purses or shoes so they are easily accessible when putting an outfit together.”

Build in a hidden hamper: Internet DIY-ers have suggested this as a way to solve the pesky problem of where the dirty clothes go.

“There is so much we can do to improve our limited home storage,” Dejevenica says. “Ideas are everywhere!” TotalHomeServ.co
