Red Osier
This warming cocktail whets your appetite with flavorful and fruity notes, named after a local plant native to Southwest Virginia, the red osier, or red-twig dogwood. A well-loved winter specialty at Primland Resort of Auberge Resorts Collection in Meadows of Dan, director of outlets Frank Vitulli says, “Of course, the brilliant pop of red helps add to its festive charm.”
- 11⁄4 ounce Reposado Tequila
- 1⁄2 ounce Cointreau
- 3⁄4 ounce St. Germain
- 1⁄2 ounce blood orange juice 1⁄4 ounce lime juice
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 2 dashes rose Champagne
Combine all ingredients except for the Champagne and shake. Pour in glass and top with rose Champagne.
