Celebrate Virginia’s Wine and Spirits

Virginia’s liquid legacy gets a double celebration each fall. September marks Virginia Spirits Month, spotlighting the Commonwealth’s booming distillery scene—from award-winning whiskeys in the Blue Ridge to innovative craft spirits across the state. Distilleries host tastings, special releases, and behind-the-scenes tours that showcase Virginia’s growing reputation as a spirits powerhouse.

October transitions seamlessly into Virginia Wine Month, honoring the state’s 300+ wineries, its centuries-old viticulture tradition, and its position as one of the country’s top-10 wine-producing states. Vineyards celebrate with harvest festivals, exclusive tastings, and educational events.

Visit VirginiaSpirits.org and VirginiaWine.org for spirit- and wine-forward events not to miss during the celebratory months of September and October, including tastings, tours, live music, exhibitions, and much more.
