Tasting Virginia Wines

On July 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, The Bay School will be hosting Tasting Virginia Wines in the Art Speaks Gallery at 279 Main Street, Mathews. Wines will be selected from three distinct regions within the state. To enhance the fun and anticipation of the evening, the specific vineyards to be represented will be revealed during the evening instead of in advance. The tasting will begin with a brief history of Virginia wines throughout the Commonwealth presented by John Salatino. Guests will enjoy six pours, representing reds and whites, accompanied by a savory charcuterie board. Raffles will be held for tastings at the vineyards, and wine will be available to purchase. Tickets are $45 for members, $55 for non-members and are available online at www.bayschool-arts.com. Ticket sales will end July 8.
