Ernie Pyle: “The Eternal Reporter”

War correspondent Ernie Pyle was a “soldier’s soldier.”  His writing during World War II featured the experiences of the common soldier as he reported from North Africa, Europe, and the South Pacific.  Pyle received a Pulitzer Prize for his reports on the bombing of London in 1940.  Sadly, his life was cut short by Japanese machine-gun fire on the island of le Shima in April 1945.  Join VWM Director of Education Jim Triesler as he explores the extraordinary life of Ernie Pyle.   Although free, register early for this ONLINE ONLY event:  vawarmemorial.org/events   Registration: https://bit.ly/44LINCl
