Storytime at the Memorial: Holiday Stories during War Time: December 9, 2025

NEW THIS FALL!
Storytime at the Memorial is now happening one weekday and one Saturday each month. Join us on Tuesday, December 9 and Saturday, December 13 at the Virginia War Memorial for free, educator-led readings of children’s history books and fun craft activities. Families are welcome—recommended for kids ages 4 to 10. This Month’s Featured Book: Christmas from Heaven: The True Story of the Berlin Candy Bomber by Tom Brokaw  Craft Activity: Make a variety of holiday decorations and see the Blue Star Families of Richmond’s “Hero Tree” on display in the Robins Lobby. Take a photo in front of the tree  with your family. Special Saturday Bonus: Meet Ember, the Virginia War Memorial’s Official Storytime Canine Ambassador – a certified K-9 Caring Angel Therapy Dog!

Bring your little history buffs for a memorable, hands-on learning experience!
