Annual Lee Lecture at Stratford Hall – Unintended and Unexpected: Lee’s Army after Appomattox

Janney will deliver the 2025 Lee Lecture in the Jessie Ball duPont Memorial Library at Stratford Hall.  A distinguished scholar and engaging public speaker, Janney has published eight books, including Remembering the Civil War and Ends of War: The Fight of Lee’s Army after Appomattox, winner of the 2022 Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize.
