Book Talk with Karl Rhodes | Peggy’s War

Join us for a lunchtime book talk as author Karl Rhodes discusses his highly researched novel, Peggy’s War, based on the story of his great-great grandmother, a Unionist Mennonite woman living in the Shenandoah Valley during the Civil War, who hid deserters and draft dodgers in a secret cellar under her home. There will be a book signing after the talk.

Contact Anne McCrery at [email protected] or 804.692.3568 for more information. This talk is free and open to the public. Registration is required. Limited free parking is available underneath the Library at 800 East Broad Street.
